Clare Dewan

For most of her career Clare has worked in the aged and community services sector as an employee relations adviser.

Her work includes representation for clients is matters such as assistance with disciplinary and termination of employment issues, roster changes, disputes with unions, rostering disputes, award/EBA interpretations, EBA and entitlement audits, and enterprise agreement negotiations.

The skills Clare has acquired over the years and which she applies, include negotiation, investigation, assessment and resolution of issues in order to lessen the chance the matter will proceed to a tribunal or court.

Clare works closely with clients and ensures she always responds to emails and telephone calls in a timely manner. Clare has dealt with voluntary boards of management, individual operators, multi sited operations and providers in charitable and for profit operators, and appreciates the differences that the wise spectrum of services presents.

Clare is able to deal with a variety of philosophies and the challenges these can present. Clare is also available to hold workshops and training on site for clients in employee related issues.

Janis Veldwyk

Janis is a highly experienced Human Resources and Health and Safety specialist with a strong background in the health and aged care sectors. She has held key leadership roles, including Director of People and Performance at a large not-for-profit aged care organisation and People and Culture Manager (incorporating Human Resources and Health and Safety) at a medium-sized for-profit aged care organisation.

Janis has established her own successful consulting business, where she provides expert guidance in HR and Health, Safety, and Environment. Her extensive experience encompasses time in motion studies, roster reviews, training, health and safety audits, risk assessments, policy reviews, and WorkCover claims management.

Janis is an active member of prestigious professional organisations such as the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and the Australian Institute of Health & Safety (AIHS). Her involvement in various industry advisory committees reflects her commitment to understanding and addressing the specific challenges faced by aged care employers.

With a diverse skill set and a licence as an investigator, Janis is well-equipped to deliver comprehensive solutions in the realms of human resources, health and safety, and environmental consulting across the health, aged, and community services sectors.
